Personal data (GDPR)

What we collect

Only what you enter in the contact form: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), organisation (optional), role or position (optional), subject and message, plus the language of the page you are writing from. This information is not stored on the website's server.

How it is transmitted

When you submit the form, your message is entrusted to the email delivery service Resend, which delivers it to our mailbox contact@levainlab.education and sends you an acknowledgement at the address you provided. Resend acts on our behalf as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR: it does not use your data for any other purpose and keeps a copy of sent emails for a limited period, in accordance with its data processing agreement. If direct sending fails, your email app opens instead with your message pre-filled: it is then sent from your own mailbox.

Resend is operated by Plus Five Five, Inc., based in San Francisco (United States), where its processing mainly takes place. This transfer outside the European Union is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; Resend also states that it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

What it is used for

Solely to reply to your request. It is never sold, disclosed to third parties (other than the email delivery processor described above and the booking tool described below) or used for direct marketing.

Booking a call (Cal.com)

Calls are booked through Cal.com, either on the Cal.com page itself or in the calendar embedded in some pages of this site. The embedded calendar only loads when you ask for it (with the button that shows available times, or a booking button): until then, no data is sent to Cal.com. Once loaded, it may set the technical cookies it needs to work.

When you book, you provide your name, your email address and, depending on the form, your phone number and your answers to the questions asked, as well as the time slot you choose. Cal.com also receives technical data (IP address, browser). This information is used solely to organise and prepare the call, and to send you the confirmation and reminders.

Cal.com, Inc. is based in the United States and acts on our behalf as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR. The transfer outside the European Union is covered by its data processing agreement, based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

When a booking is confirmed, the site only records that a call was booked (with Umami, and with the Meta pixel if you accepted it): your name, your email and the content of the booking are never passed to these tools.

Cookies

With your consent, this website uses two measurement tools. You can accept or reject them together, or separately using the “Customise” button in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. Without your consent, neither tool is loaded.

Anonymous visitor analytics (Umami)

Umami counts visits and pages viewed without cookies and without identifying you.

Meta advertising (Meta pixel)

The Meta pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, measures how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform: for example, it records that someone who came from one of our ads viewed a page or clicked a booking button. It sets cookies (_fbp, _fbc), kept for up to 90 days, and sends Meta technical data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) that Meta may link to your Facebook or Instagram account.

Controllers
LevainLab and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd are joint controllers for collecting and transmitting this data; Meta then processes it under its own privacy policy.
Legal basis
your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; withdrawing it stops all data sending and deletes the site's Meta cookies
Transfers
Meta may transfer this data to the United States; Meta Platforms, Inc. states that it is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework
